MAC Timbers Open and Timber Sales Days
There are usually 4 open days through the year and give a look at some of the ways that timber can be used. The usual team of die hards will be available to give help and advise and showing you what can be done with our timber.
Tea, Coffee, Cakes and Biscuits are available in the village hall throughout the day and the B-B-Q will be fired up at mid-day. Demonstrations go on throughout the day in both the workshop and the village hall and now outside as well. Turning will be Louise Hutton, Fred Smith, Graham Booth, Martin Davies and Jane Mehrer. Rockingham Carvers will put on their usual display and Molly Hanson will be here with her display of Pyrography and items for sale. Richard Arnold will be demonstrating the old ways of cabinet making, Bill and Sarah Carter will be in the village hall, bill to talk about his Planes and Sarah with her cakes. Dick Tilley will be coming down to give us more spectacular displays of the art of chainsaw carving and Giovanni Deidda on his Scroll Saw. Mike will demonstrate the mill at work at 2pm (depending on the weather of course). Brian Jackson Tools as always will have a large display of used tools and a display of Native American Style Flutes by Steve Frost, Phil Hutton and Paul Mehrer shows that we look at all sorts of ways to work with wood. Variations to the usual team will be advertised on the dates below.
