The following pictures gives a pretty reasonable idea of what is involved after the tree's have been cut down and transported to the wood yard.
Stacking the logs in preparation for planking and then on some logs the need to reduce the height to get them in the mill.
The Milling process is demonstrated at each show at 2pm. Once the log has been milled into various sized planks it is stacked with spacers between each plank and left to air dry for up to 3 years.
