MAC Timbers is an old time supplier of quality English timbers for Wood Turning and Cabinet makers alike. If you have a cutting list then Mike will prepare the timber to a level of finish you decide you need. A large stock of prepared Turning Blanks are always on display but if you need a certain size or type of wood then we can provide that too. All of our timber is cut and air dried on site but if required

I have been a joiner/cabinet maker for nearly 50 years and have owned a sawmill for the past 10.
Most of my timber is sourced locally, some of which I fell myself and winch onto my trailer to transport back to my yard. The butts are then planked on my sawmill into various thicknesses and stacked with sticks for air drying. If necessary the planks can be kiln dried before I make furniture out of them.
I offer a cutting and preparation service and will supply timber rough sawn, waney or planed all round. I am happy to discuss your requirements and offer advice to any woodworker. 4 or 5 times per year we open our doors to our customers and anyone who would just like to look around. There is always some thing to see with several demonstrations going on all day. See the links on the left for more details
